International Fund for Agricultural Development

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is a specialized agency of the United Nations, founded in 1977 as a multilateral international financial body dedicated to raising the standard of living and supporting the economic growth of the developing countries.

The Consolidated Programmes Implementation Unit (UCIP-IFAD) from the Republic of Moldova represents an entity created by the Government in order to promote and enforce IFAD projects. The programs are aimed at crediting the agricultural businesses for various purposes, including financing investment projects of young entrepreneurs with a grant component of up to 40%. 

Mobiasbanca adhered to the IFAD programs in 2006 and supported financially over 400 projects in amount of about 14,5 million MDL, out of which 35 projects beneficiated of a grant component.
